Spoken Word at the Peterborough Folk Festival
THIS SUNDAY, August 27 in Rotary Park.
*All events and performances - Free!*
This promises to be the best year of spoken word yet with Indigenous
storytellers, champion slam poets, bluegrass back up, and
singers-turned-poets. The day will culminate in a full-on hometown
competitive poetry slam where the audience judges 3-minute miracles spewed
by the contestants.
Some open mic spots will be available, so come by the Island Stage if you
have some words to share.
Check out the poster and the schedule below. Schedules will also be
available at the festival THIS SUNDAY. Festival events also take place
Friday night, Saturday, and Saturday night. See
